How it Works

When you sign up for datarefuge secure online data backup, you have to do nothing. just tell us what you want backing up and we do the rest. An engineer will visit your premises to install a small software programme called Arxcis on your server.

The engineer then takes a first copy of your data which is either uploaded directly to the data centre or, in the case of very large initial backups, a copy is couriered to the data centre and uploaded locally.

Once set up, Arxcis will at a predetermined time, look for changes across your selected data sets and send only those files changed to the data centre. The software can be set to run during out of office hours so that you data is backed up each and every day whilst you sleep.

There is no more action you need to take. Our engineers will be receive automatic email or mobile alerts if a data backup fails for whatever reason (eg internent connection failure) and will liaise directly with the datacentre on your behalf to complete the backup.
